"Congratulations!!!"

Voting Deadline was Oct 4th

It’s been a one of kind year—and the inability to gather as we once could has forced us to find new and creative ways to stay connected.  We thought a decorated front porch, yard or even a window would be a fun way to share your feelings about our 2020 Heroes!  We are grateful to our community heroes and front lines for keeping us safe, healthy and sane during COVID-19 even putting their lives on the line for us.  This has been a year we will look back on with Gratitude for years to come to our Heroes who led us through one of the most challenging years in recent history.  That said....

ONLINE PEOPLE'S CHOICE

The Public decided on the winner based only on the most votes submitted online

Thank you community for your participation in this fun and friendly contest. It really does take a village.  The contest was open to all in the community to participate. Creativity had nothing to do with it--it was all about being social.  We only asked you to choose your hero display accordingly, avoid politics and controversary. Our panel of judges were not involved in the selection of the People's Choice winner that’s why it’s called People’s Choice.

  1. People’s Choice— Entry #16 - National Fire Firefighters Prevention theme in District 5

Grateful for the community spirit and powerful positive messages and love shown to our  2020 community and front line heroes.   We hope next year we will be able to gather again in person to watch a real parade. Until then Stay Safe and Healthy Santa Clara!

Santa Clara Parade of Champions

Since 1945, the SCPOC has brought Santa Clarans together to showcase their Champions from Sports, Civic and Business leaders, Culture and Arts, to Entertainment and now Tech. The entire city would gather in its Historic Downtown (founded in 1852) to celebrate their heritage, community spirit, and pride every year. It has been one of the longest-running unifying events in the history of Santa Clara. Lifelong Memories were made, and community bonds strengthened for generations to follow.
